As a marketing advertising student, a project that I am required to complete is a marketing campaign plan. When I took the class, our professor assigned us with creating a plan to improve the advertising abilities of Wayne State’s Campus Health Center. This project included creating a client brief, a company SWOT analysis, as well as a full integration of marcom mix, message strategies and campaign controls.

This project was very difficult for me as I had never done anything to this extent before in my marketing career. However, I think that this project will serve to be one of the most important projects I have done in my marketing career. It was my first experience discussing a plan with an actual client and proposing ideas for them that they would eventually end up using. For once, our projects weren’t just all hypothetical, but they were meant for a real purpose and to help benefit a resource that we are all very familiar with.
